Quote from Gal4Dale88USP:Hi everyone :)
It finally got warm here in Michigan,,,going to be 93 and very humid today. Well,,,I learned if I go outside I CAN'T BREATHE! Does anyone else get this? Hopefully when my asthma 'gets under control' this will improve.
My new doctor changed all my meds,,,I think I did better before. Maybe it will take a bit for the new meds to reach their peak effect. (hoping) Now I'm on Duoneb,,,Pulmicort,,,Singulair,,,Predinsone,,,an anti-biotic,,,Ventolin,,,Zyrtec,,,I think that's all! Forgive my spelling,,,I'm going by memory on these. Is anyone else on any of these? I use to be on Advair 500/50 and Singulair,,,that seemed to work ok,,,however at my appt the new doc said,,,'Your wheezing,,,restricted,,,the current course is not working.'
Thanks for listen! I'm getting pretty tired of not feeling good,,,guess I'm a little blue today.

Ah yes, I've learned that humidity is VERY, VERY evil. I can usually tell when it's going to be a bad day when my usual mucus is thicker and harder to move.
I'm on Advair 500, Pulmicort, prednisone, Duoneb/combivent, Nexium, Nasonex, Allegra-D, a bunch of vitamins, and albuterol. Personally, I like Duoneb (not the taste! it kind of tastes nasty, but you'll get used to it. I did.) It seems to get my attacks under better control once the atrovent kicks in. Pulmicort is nice too, I think. I'm only saying it's nice because it has no taste. :) I was on Singulair for a while, but I've found that it doesn't really do much. Prednisone is almost as evil as humidity if you're on a long-term dose. How much are you taking? Right now I'm on 40 mg and eating like crazy. Ugh. If you're on a long-term dosage, make sure you're taking vitamins and calcium supplements. Hopefully your new med combination will work for you :)
Take care.
