Read down the pages; there are many, many posts on the statin drugs. Consider anything listed for Lipitor (atorvastatin), Zocor (simvastatin), Crestor, or Pravachol and you will see various opinions.
All the drugs are quite similar except for potency.
I have had no trouble with Lipitor for 5 years- it improved my blood lipid profile dramatically from near death to lowest risk!
The consensus seems to be that Co-Q10 is a valuable adjunctive supplement which helps prevent muscle aches.
Testing Liver function enzymes is necessary after 30 days, 6 months and then annually. Look out for SEVERE large muscle pain in the beginning and call your doctor if it occurs...but ignore everyday aces and pains.
