I too had been on Inderal LA 180mg. for at least 15yrs. I originally was on it for migraines. Then in 2000 I had a heart attack and the cardiologist just kept me on it because as a beta blocker it was also used for angina. Recently my insurance co. stopped paying for it and the cardiologist switched me to another beta blocker, atenolol. I was afraid to make the switch but could not afford to pay for the Inderal. Also the DR said that Inderal LA was being discontinued. Its been about 2 months now and I have not had any problems. Beta Blockers are also used for high blood pressure so maybe you should check with your Dr.

My doctor referred me to an endocrinologist and I'm going to mention atenolol to her. Both my mother and brother are on that.

Hey deljo, do you remember how you switched?
Also, If you were on 180 mg (it isn't listed as being available anymore) I'm curious as to which dose of atenolol you are on now.
