These past threads have been making news as of recent (once again) that the ARB class of drugs Diovan, Atacand, Cozaar, Avapro etc. increase heart attack risk versus other blood pressure medications. A five + year study on MICARDIS (Angiotensin Blocker ARB) versus ALTACE (Ace Inhibitor), is to be released very soon 3/08, which will tell us for sure whether we should scrap these drugs (ARB's) for good. To have side-effects is one thing, but a coronary event is just too much.
