What The Heck??? Someone Please (Heart Disorders board)

8th September 2007
If you're on a blood pressure med, that in itself will slow down your heart. I have a very fast heartbeat, because of a nodule on my thyroid and because my left ventricle is weakened. So I take lasix, coreg cr, digoxin, and atacand.
My arteries are super, so it's not blocked arteries. I bet you're scared, because you're thinking of sudden cardiac death aren't you? I was too...it sent me into a panic and a depression. As long as you slow down and don't lift heavy items, and rest when you are tired, plus you're on a blood pressure med or ace inhibitor, your heart will stay slowed down. Caffeine speeds it up, so watch that. Are you on any water pills? Because if you are, you need to eat a banana with it, and orange juice is great too.:)
