[QUOTE=CheltzeeMarie;3347175]I have had chronic sinusitis and bronchitis for the past year now and I sympathize with you, it's so frustrating. The only thing that seems to help me is Augmentin and Astelin nose spray and using saline nose spray to keep my nasal passages cleaned out (it's gross, but I could see how all that junk just sitting in there would cause infection!)
I'm severely allergic to all trees and grass, pollen and dust so I'm practically always in hell. Ice Packs are my best friend because they help so much with the swelling. I think I may have an autoimmune disorder.
I want to hear more about this Elimination Re-Challenge Diagnosis diet, I'm interested in trying it to see if it helps my allergies and fibromyalgia!
Thanks, Hope you feel better soon :{

Not so sure about the diet, but take a good multivitamin, 1000-2000mg of vitamin C a day, and eat Activia. These will all help boost your immune system (account for the vitamin C in your multivitamin. my mom is a nurse and says more C won't hurt but your body will just excrete what you don't use so it can waste money). I also ALWAYS get a flu shot when they're available.
The spray does help. I like the one that is like putting mouthwash up your nose (SinoFresh or w/e) or Flonase for when my sinuses are real bad. Ice packs are good and I find that Tylenol or Anacin (caffeine with aspirin) can help the pain. They have this eye thing you can keep in the freezer (not the gell ones), and put on your eyes when the sinuses are swollen, at Bed, Bath, and Beyond.
I avoid all artificials like aspartame, sucralose, sweet and low, or any other artificial sweetener (Stevia lowers sperm count in men). I also try to go natural and avoid dyes, MSG, and certain spices related to Cayenne as I am sensitive to them. I basically eat like a rabbit half the time! I hope you start to feel better. I think the surgery is finally working. I tend to need a lot more sleep than I did before it (very annoying) and sneeze a lot more but I sleep deeper and don't feel sick as often. The other day I had clear drainage that just POURED out and then I blew my nose and this horrid greenish yellowish thick paste came out. naaaasty.
I have to say that it's far better than what came out into my mouth after the surgery (not aloud to blow my nose). Blood clots do not taste nice! :confused: I hope you feel better too.
