Sound like labyrinthitis? Please read. (General Health board)

2nd October 2006
I'll try to make this as brief as possible.

I'm a 22 year old female.

For about 2 weeks, I have been experiencing vertigo accompanied with dull head/face pain and neck pain.

I saw a doctor at my school's health center and she passed it off as possible stress or allergies.

Yesterday I laid in bed practically all day (on purpose) and felt GREAT until last night when I got severe vertigo while lying down. It was better while standing.

I went to Urgent Care and the doctor, who didn't seem terribly interested in my problem, told me maybe it's labyrinthitis and prescribed me with Meclizine and Astelin nasal spray.

Here are my symptoms:

1) Dull headache/face pain/neck pain - especially in the jaw/teeth area
2) Vertigo/feeling of being on a boat
3) Sense of "surrealism"/in a daze

I am able to "function" quite normally, but I just feel like I'm in a daze, not myself. I lose things, knock things over, forget what I was doing... I feel like I need to relax my face but I can't... I don't think it's a sinus infection though, because I'm not congested at all.

I am starting to feel better, day by day, but I also suffer from anxiety and I can't help but worry that it could be something very serious. By reading my symptoms, what do YOU think?
