   constant sinus troubles (Allergies board)

14th September 2006
I am on Allegra, Singulair, Flonase and Astelin. I still get flare-ups of sinus infections every couple months. I am currently on week three with one this round. In addition to going on antibiotics, taking a decongestant, headache meds, there are two other things that give me some relief. I good deep massage with some focus on my sinuses helps break some of the "gunk" up and helps me relax some of those muscles that tighten with the pain. I also have a couple visits to the chiropractor. I have been doing this for the last two years. I am not exactly sure how the adjustments to my neck help the sinuses-the chiropractor explained it, but I am still not sure- it gives me some relief though. Besides, the massage table they use at their office helps me relax. I find the muscles in my neck and back get tight after a couple weeks of a sinus headache.

Good luck finding something that works for you.
