For everybody who has the stuffed up noses and PND, you all should try this. I went to an ENT a couple of weeks ago and she gave me a prescription for a nasal spray called Astelin. After one day of using this stuff, I could breathe so easily through my nose. Its not a steroid like Nasanex is. I was on all kinds of sprays and allergy meds throughout the years and nothing really helped. It even keeps your nasal passages clear while you sleep. I still have a little bit of nasal drip, but not nearly the amount I had before. Try to get a prescription for this people, it works great.
Bradgm- thanks for sharing the info. Please could you look up the active ingredients for this product and post here as I don't thin the product is available in Europe.
Astelin (azelastine HCl)- Also contains sodium chloride, dibasic sodium phosphate, hypromellose, edetate disodium, citric acid, benzalkonium chloride and purified water.
The stuff works great. Keeps me clear all day long.
This guy I know uses Astelin - says it works great. But you know what? He has chronic sinus infections (a side effect of many nasal sprays) and the worse breath I have ever come across! I'm talkin the kind that fills a room, even after he leaves it lingers for 20 minutes. So while Astelin may keep your nose clear, I question whether it will cure bad breath. This guy has acne, post nasal drip, allergies, chronic sinus problems, always stuffy, eats meat, dairy, white bread, drinks coffee, alcohol, soda. I suspect the cause of his BB is colon toxicity/candida -- he has all the symptoms.
How long has he been dealing with these sinus issues? I have the same problem. I am on a strict non dairy and sugar diet wich i started a couple of weeks ago wich is starting to help out my breath. My problem is at my work there is alot of sweets and im addicted to chocolate so i requested to work only 3 days a week so i can focus on my health.
To everyone who is on the similar diet as me i would like to know what you eat for breakfest lunch and dinner, I'm running out of food ideas. For whoever has been on this diet befor how long did it take till you saw significant improvement in your sinus and bad breath?

My astelin friend has had those problems for years. He's tried every pill, nasal spray, ENT docs to no avail. Time to look at systemic causes/diet.
I eat alot of what denny does, plus soy or rice milk, fresh tofu stir fried, and fish. I also like the powdered kamut/wheat grass - full of vitamins, chlorophyll, oxygen, cleanses colon, alkalinizes the system, gives me energy. I drink it first thing in the morning mixed with purified water.
Cobalt- Do you think the Astelin spray has helped your breath at all? Ever since I started to use it I never smell anything bad coming from my nose or mouth. I also always have a nice taste in my mouth too(right after I use the spray its bitter but quickly clears up). What are your thoughts?
