I don't think that Gigi was suggesting that you stop your meds. She was merely suggesting a change in diet and if that were to work than maybe eventually the meds could be eliminated.
I for one have no problem with milk products -- they don't seem to affect my asthma one way or the other. I can drink whole milk, eat cheese, etc. and feel well and then at some other time develop symptoms for no apparent reason.
Asmanex seems to work well with a minimum of side effects -- at least for me. Of course osteoporosis can be insidiously creeping up!!
What to do -- as you say -- one needs to breathe. it's a matter of trying different approaches and finding what works best for you.
