Thanks for the post. I've been taking Xanax--.25 mg--only as needed for several years. A year prior to getting asthma, I developed anxiety--usually health related :rolleyes:. A 60 tab bottle used to last me 6-8 months. I start out with 1/2 a .25 mg and work my way up. Usually I don't go past 1 mg; by 1 mg the anxiety has dissapaited. Last year with all the health issues especially the asthma, I finished a bottle within a month. I seem to be back on course as the prescription before the most recent one lasted 3 months.

I had a pulmonary test done in April of this year and I made 92% which was a pleasant surprise. I also have tests from a asthma program--they just arrived today but I can't read them (medical terms).

Speaking of today, it was hot and humid here in NY and so far I am fine--didn't need the albuterol. I started feeling the chest sensation when I left my job for the bus stop but when I concentrated on my bus coming down the block, the sensation went away.

I am currently on Asmanex 2 puffs in the AM and 2 in the PM.
