I was on and off Pulmicort for a couple of years but I don't think I had any trouble with it. I'm on a new steroid inhaler called Asmanex. One of the reasons my doc first gave me Pulmicort was because at the time, it is supposed to have very low sistemic side effects. He recently changed me over to the new Asmanex because its supposed to be even lower then Pulmicort.

If you're worried about potassium, have your levels checked by your doctor. If they are ok, then don't worry about it. If they are a little low you can supplement your diet with foods high in potassium.
