-when someone is on an adequate dose of Armour ... Free T4 are better guages that the TSH (especailly on Armour ).
-make sure they test the FREE T3 & FREE T4.
-OPtimal ... will result in you feeling worse).
-most people on Armour need about 3 grains a day (60 mg = 1 grain).

I couldn't tolerate the Armour at first either ... 20 mgs a day for several months as I increased my Armour dose slowly & then slowly wean off the Cortef.
