Good morning. Thanks for the support.

Had a good weekend. Nothing major. The Aricept seems to be helping maybe just a bit. We made it to church. She was more involved in day-to-day life and some conversation. So that's a positive.

Thanks for the planning-ahead talk. I've actually started thinking down that path.

Have a great day. Later. K

Thanks for the wishes Barb. The results were about what I expected. She has deteriorated in most aspects from nine months ago despite the namenda and aricept. They recommended that she give up driving completely and strongly suggested assisted living. She was not happy with the results but seemed resigned to the necessity..... at least for the moment. Then I took her for an hour long walk on the beach, lunch on the pier with my daughter, and a trip to the bakery. I went home to a long conversation with Mom and Dad about plans for the near future. Dad was not receptive.... but then said he would go with mom anywhere. He changes his mind every 3 minutes and mom will not talk about it much. Then I had to talk to each of my sisters as well. So the search for assisted living is now on. It has been a long draining day.....

The waiting, at least for me, is the hard part KenBob. I hope you can find the answers you need sooner rather than later. In the mean time you are taking all the appropriate steps to get things in order. Glad the aricept is helping. Have you told the girls yet?
