Osteoblast - I can't thank you enough for all of your support and research.
Yes - That clinic is only about 45 minutes from my home. I actually spoke with that Dr Christian about a year ago to see if she would be able to help me and she just matter of factly pushed fosomax and aredia on me before she even looked at my records!!!
But I do need to get a good work-up done so I will check both clinics out again. Hopefully all of the bad reports on biphosphonates have been read and really examined by the doctor since I spoke with her. They need to wake up!!!!!
This should probably be posted on the other thread about SSRI's but I'm falling asleep and just want to mention: My severe depression began with my very first menopausal night drench. I have not slept through a night since then. It only let up for about a month and a half when the thyroid dose was reduced - then it crept back. It's really a catch-22 about lots of osteoporosis issues (thyroid meds). I believe that it is the cortisol levels in depression which have such a negative impact on bones. That is why I know I must figure out the thyroid, other hormone levels and mineral absorption before I can know what to take for my osteoporosis.
Thanks again for being so supportive. After totally melting down for two days, I finally feel better. Have a great weekend....
