Pharmacy switches your pill and causes weight gain?? (Birth Control board)

2nd August 2007
Hi,
I've been able to maintain my weight pretty much my whole life w/o trying too hard. Over the past year and a half it's been a LOT harder (i workout more now than i ever did and eat a lot healthier than i ever did and STILL can't lose weight, in fact I gain really easily now). It COULD be that I just turned 30 and my metabolism is slowing down. But I was also wondering if it could be my b.c.?? I started on Apri about 8 years ago and it was working great for me. then my pharmacy switched me to Solia, and now Reclipsen. I know they are all the same but has anyone experienced weight gain effects on a pill that was supposedly the same as your old one? Also, over the last year, I started taking my pill packets back to back so that I don't get my period. Could that be the cause of the weight gain? Anyways, I'm just looking for someone who can shed some light for me. thanks!
