Here is a good site with info about bcpills: w w w.wdxcyber.com/ncontr13.htm
Neither Yasmin or OTC worked well for me. I've found that I like the monophasic pills better than the triphasic. Right now I'm on generic Desogen (Apri) and I'm loving it. Sometimes it just takes a long time to find the right combo for you. Give each pill about 3 months to work (I know, it's a long time to just sit back and suffer). My regimen is: Minocycline, Apri, Retin-A at night, Clindamycin lotion in the day, and recently added Spiro (but this is more for my mild hirsutism). Also, use a gentle cleanser (like Cetaphil) only twice a day. Don't do anything else! No picking, touching, scrubbing, etc. Try to drink A LOT of water and get enough sleep. Also, if you believe your acne is hormonal, you should have some bloodwork done to show your hormone levels. If anything's abnormal, you should probably see an endocrinologist. Good luck!
