I have a question that maybe some of you can answer. I just got my first birth controll perscription, ever. I got the perscription for contrception but I also have mild/moderate acne and some severe cramps. My acne and cramps always seem to come at the same time of the month which is what I belive to be the time I am ovulating about 2-3 weeks before my period. Im assuming that if my cramps and acne are assosiated with ovulation then the pill will fix them because I will not ovulate. I have seen so many post about pills making these symptoms worse. I began to wonder if there are certain pills that help my symptoms more. I was perscribed Apri but given Solia at the pharmacy (I've been told they are the same pill) So anyway, I was wondering if this pill is good for helping acne and cramps. Im still waiting to start the pill, Im a bit late, but no worries three HPT and they were all negative. Thanks so much in advance!

I'm new to the board and was wondering if you figured out a solution to your problem and if that bc pill has worked to clear up your acne or for your cramps. I've been on the pill Yasmin for more then a year and have had no severe problems with it. I was first prescribed yasmin for my acne which was soo badd due to stress from college and whatnot. It's worked really really good for my acne as well as with my periods. My periods last about a day and a half sometimes two with hardly any cramps at all which is a huge difference before I took the pill. Alot of people talk badly of Yasmin but its different for everyone. If Solia or whatever you got doesnt work out, suggest Yasmin to your doctor. Hopefully that works!
