Hello,
I am a 59 year old woman with history of a-fib for many years. The frequency and duration have increased with my age. I have undergone numerous electrical cardioversions, have tried Amiodarone, Flecainide, and had a mini-maze ablation 6 months ago. I started taking Tikosyn about a month ago and have been in normal sinus rhythm since until today when I again developed a-fib. I decided to try to outpace it. I got on the treadmill and ran as fast as I could (which is only 4.0 for about 2 minutes). I got my heart rate up to 156 which is very high for me. My resting heart rate is about 45. I laid down and in about 10 minutes I had converted to normal sinus rhythm with pulse of 61. Has anyone ever heard of a-fib converting in this manner?
