I have the nightmares too. I've always had more nightmares than most people to begin with, but since being on the Nexium, it's been ridiculous. Just last night I was dreaming that I couldn't escape from the WTC while it was on fire.
Strangely enough, I'm a good sleeper, and I tend to forget the dreams after I wake up pretty quickly. But I'm worried that one day I'm going to reach the breaking point and just crack due to these dreams. I try not to think about it that often, because what's the point? I don't want to focus on them, as I have no choice but to take the Nexium.
If you are desperate for 1 good night's sleep Taape, you can always take an Ambien. It will knock you out cold and you will not dream anything (at least anything that you can remember). You'll wake up 8 hours later feeling totally refreshed. Of course, Ambien is totally addictive, so I strongly recommend against taking it except for the occasional night that you are really suffering. I honestly would not recommend that anyone take it more than 1x every 2 weeks. It's a benzo and can really screw you up. But it works like magic!
