Ambien 10 mg usually lasts about 8 hrs. I sometime break a pill in half for 5 mg and can geta good 4-6 hrs of sleep. It is such a nice restful sleep. But you really need to be in bed when you take ambien, because I started hallucinating and acting crazy one night when I started doing laundry & dishes after I had taken it. Thank God my husband and children were here or I could have been seriously hurt. I din't remember most of what they told me I did. My hubby & 2 kids all slept in my room that night. :yawn: Just be very careful with ambien. It is wonderful, but it can be dangerous. :o

Wow is Ambien really that strong? I have been having a terrible time sleeping lately because of some medication I am on and sometimes am up the entire night. Maybe Ambien would work for me.
