my sugars are terrible lately, hard to get under 200 and always 200 and up to 305. im taking amaryl 4mgs before lunch and dinner. just started 100 units of lantus from 85 and take novolog 60 units before lunch and dinner. i only eat lunch and dinner. i was thinking about trying symlin but i thought it would take place of the novolog, then doc said no u take all your meds plus the symlin. so now i dont know if i want another shot 2-3 times a day and i heard makes u feel sick.
i just started 2 new meds since i have been getting higher and higher readings, seems the more novolog i take the more i need. the new meds are cozaar 100 mgs, was on lisinopril but makes me cough too much. and elavil 25 mgs for itchy ankles. other then thoses nothing else has changed, i did quit smoking nov 20th, but im eating the same foods i always did when my sugars were good. so i dont know whats going on. any suggestions???
