I will hope you will understand why I am pulling up this thread? It might be so very useful to others.
At the time I saw it - I reckoned I had said enough and that you wouldn't listen to me - so I never responded.

Please, everyone who is using this and thinks as jamesj did think that it is OK to take xanax (or any other benzos) as and when, and think that you will just be able to quit - think again. You really are playing with fire.
And I know there are many many people using this drug as an "aid" to getting off opiates. Be very very careful. Personally I would not advise it.
jamesj - I hope you are feeling OK now? Must have been a dreadful shock...............I am so very sorry that you suffered this grand mal seizure. Thank God that your wife was close by when it happened. l was extremely lucky not to have suffered in the same way............ I tried to c/t - started to experience full florid withdrawal, luckily found benzo org that very day and got the best advice I have ever listened to in my whole life - I took the advice,I reinstated and then tapered off over 8 long painful months.
Have you now just stayed off ......... or are you tapering? How are you feeling now? I hope you are now recovering well from the frightening experience.
