I don't get migraines as severe as yours, but I do have year-round allergies that have made me very sick & cause horrible headaches. My eyes are also very sensitive to light, so I wear sunglasses even to go out and get the mail. I think that has something to do with the allergies, which really affect my eyes (itching, burning, watering, sensitivity). Could you maybe have similar problems? I know allergies can almost kill some people. I take Allegra, which takes the edge off, but doesn't completely cure. Hope you figure it out

This used to happen to me also, still does upon occaison. I noticed you live in Houston, I live in Alabama and one thing we have in common is plenty of sunshine. One thing I discovered (actually my doctor told me) is that if I drink plenty of water it helps. Dehydration leads to headaches, also suffer many allergies and something is always blooming here, except in the dead of winter, then we have so much rain there is a lot of mold and mildew.

Over the years I have used Claritin D - Zyertec and Allegra, all of these quit working after a while. I read an article that said over the counter benedryl actually is better at reducing symptoms than the leading perscription allergy medications. I decided to give up my percriptions and give it a try it.

IT WORKS!!!!!! Here is what I do and my headaches are not nearly as bad as they used to be. If I am going to be outside I drink a lot of water, take 1/2 of a benedryl (whole one makes me sleepy) and if my nose gets stopped up I take an over the counter sudafed, the one I take is from Costco, Kirkland brand, you get a whole box of them for $4.00 and it works out to be a penny per pill.

I do have a perscription for Singulaire, same article said it used to be given only to help people with asthma but they have found it helps with seasonal allergies also. If the water, benedryl and sudafed don't work - go see your doctor, he may be able to help you.
