Foot dr. suggested orthotics sfor my feet but will it solve my toe pain? (General Health board)

30th July 2007
Before spending that kind of money, I would go to a pharmacy and buy Dr. Scholl's gel full length supports ($9) and see if they helped. I have had toe pain off and on for years but no one really knows what the problem is. It could be inflammation that does not show up in x-ray or lab work, could be most anything. Taking anti-inflammatory meds should help the pain. I tried Aleve, Ibuprophen but they were too hard on my stomach. I now take Limbrel (prescription) for inflammation in various parts of my body.
