[QUOTE=BIH_2006;2748208]. The last two times I've gone to the doctor, I've had high blood pressure.
You should know that heart patients who have been through open-heart surgery are advised to use Tylenol over Advil (ibuprofen) or Aleve (naproxen) because it doesn't not exacerbate high blood pressure problems. Advil and Aleve and their generics are known to cause elevated blood pressure. However, Tylenol is not.
As for your sleep problems, you might want to try valerian root extract in pill form, available at health food stores. I used to use Tylenol PM to get to sleep, but it made me feel loopy when I woke up. I switched to valerian and it's much better. It stinks when you open the bottle, and don't let your cats get near it because it's like catnip to them. But it works really well for calming and sleep problems. Make sure to get the root extract pill and not just the root. I find the root extract is more concentrated and seems to work better.
My grandma swears by it and so does my boyfriend. I started using it and it's great. Not habit forming like the drugs you buy at the store. It's a natural herb that has been around forever. It's perfectly safe. If you don't believe me, do some research on it and ask the health food store people. It's great stuff!
