Get the book the hormonally vulnerable woman by geoffrey redmond. It's great. Birth control kept me under control forever until I switched the pill to alesse be/c of the mood swings i was getting on ortho tri cyclen. Alesse made my skin go nuts and I am still paying for it! Big time!!! But I read about spiro on this board (do a search for it on here and in that book it talks about spiro too) so i went on it and it's going to be 2 months on sunday yay:D and have been back on otc for about two weeks and I can see that it is much better, my main problem now is the horrible red marks, really they are very bad. So sad:mad: . Anyway but the spiro take 2 to 4 months to kick in and i just read on here that it took some girl 6 months till it kicked in. I guess it all depends of the person. But I can really see a difference. After the alesse I was hearing so many good things about yasmin so i decided to try it but so some reason my body didn't like it but now that i'm on the right bc pill for me and the 2 months mmark for spiro things are finially started to look better. There were months I didn't see a change in my face :( so sad. My derm put me on doxy and I've been on it for a couple months but I guess it doesn't work for my be/c I have hormonal acne? idk Please get the book, it for all ages 20's ,30's ,4's, 50's. I'm really glad that I got it. It also talks about birth control pills too, all kins of things. Good Luck!!!!
