Yup - sad but true! I've been on Diane-35 about 6 years too & totally cleared my skin. My doc suggested I switch as I'd been on Diane for so long. Switched over to Alesse - OMG! What a nightmare. In the span of 2 or 3 week my almost flawless skin was worse than before accutane years before! So now I'm back on Diane. Just as before, skin is almost totally clear again. Bad news is - i know exactly what will happen when I eventually stop taking it. Sigh.

As an aside - Alesse is a NIGHTMARE. I can't begin to describe just how oily and revolting my skin was while I was taking it. Crazy break-outs, even on parts of my face that had never ever had acne, etc. Anyway, stay away from Alesse! Horrible stuff. My derm said he takes new patients off it every day.
