I am currently taking OrthoTricyclen and it isn't really helping my skin. My skin breaks out horribly in week 1 and 2, and is also oily, dry, itchy and splotchy. In week 3 and 4 it is much better, it still breaks out some, but just feels and looks overall better. No dryness, no matter what I do and smaller pores with a glow to it! this happens when I am off the pill too...

Does anyone else clear before your period?

I am thinking i may have an estrogen dominance. In the past I took Depo Provera (shot) and it helped my skin a lot (a side effect is acne). I am not sure if I should switch BCP's or maybe go off completely. this happens when i am off pills too.

Since progesterone seems to help my skin (and breaks other peoples out) any ideas what would help this? I was thinking of Aleese or Yasmin but don't know which. Since I am backwords, I am thinking Alesse, which more people complain doesn't work.

this is sooo hard!!! Please offer any ideas/advice! I am new/first post.
