i've was diagnosed with hsv back in march. i had one ob and then not another one until the summer, and since then i feel like i've been getting them monthly. i noticed they always came right before my period, but also at other random times. i just started the suppressive therpy with valtrex about 3 weeks ago, and within that first week i had an ob. that went away, and a few days later, the day my period began, i had another ob!!!

the night before my period came i had used aldara cream (this goes to show you- i am EXTREMELY careful and have been monogamous and with few people, but have been lucky enough to contract hsv and hpv..... it can happen to anyone, and being careful doesn't guarantee that you're safe.) the aldara is very irritating, and i feel like this triggers ob's for me.

can anyone else relate?? not even to the aldara part, but to the fact that they're on suppressive therapy and still getting ob's?? why is this happening?? is it possible that this stuff just doesn't work for some people?? (even though before i was on the suppressive therapy, i used it to cure intermittent ob's and it worked fine....)

also- are there any holistic remedies to keeping ob's at bay, or anything you can eat to lessen the symptoms of each ob?? any help would be appreciated..... thanks :confused:
