Hello, I am new to the forums and I would like to share my story and maybe get some advice about my situation.......
In 2000 I began dating a girl and we had unprotected sex. After a few weeks of sleeping together I woke up one morning with a slight discharge and a burning sensation when i urinate. I went to the doctor and he gave me antibiotics....it seemed to help but there was still a strange, itching sensation...something didn't seem right. I told the girl I was seeing at the time and she went to her doctor...she got tested and said her tests came back fine...and she never spoke to me again. I felt fine until we began sleeping together, I had not slept with anyone a year before seeing her..I guess it just freaked her out..o rshe knew something she wasn't telling me. After 4 trips to my regular Doctor he sent me to a urologist. He treated me for about 3 months when I brought to his attention these small freckle-like bumps on my penis. He said I probably had HPV and sent me to a dermatologist. He treated me with Aldara off and on about 4 or 5 times and I have had the bumps frozen off like 4 times. A few of the bumps seem to come back and sometimes I still feel a slight tingle or itching sensation after 7 years. I still have a few freckle like places on my penis but haven't been back to have them removed because I feel like it's a lost cause. I haven't slept with anyone since all this and I really don't know what to do. I have thought about making a appointment to see my doctor but like I stated..it seems like a lost cause. I have also considered just buying one of those wart freezing kits over the counter....I know it says on the box not to use on those areas, but what is the difference really? Any advice or comments are welcome...thanks for reading.
