I'm so sorry that there is not more information out there on vaginal dysplasia/vaginal cancer. I guess because it is rarer then they just don't put out as much info? I do know of other women who have had abnormal paps after hysterectomy. You will have to search a bit, but they are out there. The technical term is VaIN (Vaginal Interepithelial Neoplasia), I'm sure you've already done a search on that, but thought I'd throw it out there in case you hadn't.
There was a poster on here awhile ago whose gyn-onc was recommending aldara for vaginal dysplasia, you might want to try searching this board ... I think it was a few months ago? I don't think she used the aldara though.
I have also had a hysterectomy, I had very early stage cervical cancer removed with a leep and then chose to have the hysterectomy. I have had two normal paps following this surgery, however I will get annual smears until I'm 99.
Isn't it interesting the feelings you were describing - I do know exactly what you are talking about - i never associated them with abnormal cells growing though.
Good luck in your search - don't give up, okay?
