   Beta Mannan (Cancer: Breast board)

4th May 2004
I know a thread was posted a while ago about Beta-Mannan, but I was wondering if anyone has found out any more info on it. I still have cervical and vulvar dysplasia after a cone biopsy and Aldara cream for the vulva. I am tired of surgery and painful creams, and if Beta-Mannan is real then I WANT IT!!!! I am desperate for something to rid of this dysplasia and possibly prevent reoccuring dysplasia in the future, please email me if you know of any other treatments for dysplasia other than surgery. I am losing hope.

Thank you, Annie

Lucky, I just started taking the Beta Mannan, so I can't say if it works or not, but I know I have talked to MANY women who say it DID work.

go to this website..........[ removed ]good luck and keep me posted. I will tell you if it works for me.

Oh, and make sure you are taking a multi-vitamin...... extra E (although Beta-Mannan already has Vita E in it)..... folate (folic acid)...... and selenium. Reduce caffeine......alcohol.......and fat.

I did not try the Beta Mannan.... yet. I have been very busy completing an internship and have not exactly had the time to give my body the attention it deserves. I am going in for another colposcopy/biopsy soon and after those results i will decide whether to follow through with the beta mannan or not. also, my doc told me they can prescribe Aldara, which is an immune boosting acid type cream that burns the top layers of skin off where it is applied, and you insert the cream vaginally... similar to a yeast infection treatment. and this can take care of mild/moderate dysplasia sometimes. so, i might try that if my results come back with mild/mod dysplasia. Hopefully, that is all that the results will show. Please post ladies, if you have tried beta mannan! Good luck to all!

Happy New Year!
