Wow, thanks for all your support.

They can put a buggy on Mars which can beam hi-res images across millions and millions of miles of space, but they can't sort out herpes. How sad.

Hi Adamuk,
As far as your frequent OBs are concerened. Do you take any suppliments? Anti-virals? How's your diet and general health? If you're OBs are 40 weeks out of the year, it would seem that your immune system is having a hard time getting up to speed.
As far as Aldara, I always thought that it was for genital warts, not herpes so I'm not sure on that one.
Also, when it comes to relationships.... stop ending them. Just try laying it on the line with one of these people once the relationship seems like it may go somewhere. You may get rejected, but then again... You may not. Stress is a big factor with herpes as far as bringing about OBs and making it hard to clear them up. I'm sure it stresses you out in relationships having to worry about "the talk" and rejection and having to aviod intimacy. You have herpes, but it's not who you are. It's something that you have. It sucks, but for all you know one of these girls had it too!
Good luck

Adamuk, Do you have herpes or HPV? I have never heard of Aldara for herpes, I thought it was used for HPV (genital warts), molluscum contagium, and some sin cancers....

Well lets see, [QUOTE] Do you take any supplements? Anti-virals? How's your diet and general health? I take multi-vitamins and echinacea when I remember, no anti-virals, diet could be better and general health is average. Aldara is for genital warts but my specialist (who is supposed to be v good) says that it can kill of the virus in a localised area of skin by raising the immune system in that area or something, in the same way that it would do to warts. I have seen some study results on the net that look interesting (use google). I have pretty much given up on relationships at the moment, and have found that I’m drinking more (which I’m sure in a factor in my OB frequency). I have HSV2, and where I have the OBs cannot be covered by a condom (is kinda in the pubic patch), and therefore I wont have sex. One possibility is wearing a condom and boxer shorts for sex, but I’m really not too sure about that.

Regards,

Adam
