I basically started getting GERD full blast in October and it has been quite annoying. I only realized it was GERD and not Asthma after seeing a doctor. In the morning when I first eat I get a wheeze for about 2-3 hours and then it goes almost away for the rest of the day. My doctor is giving me that med with a P but Tums seem to be more effective. Anyways, I do have an Albuterol inhaler lying around that I never use but don't want to overmedicate myself so I usually just wait those 2-3 hours until it goes away and I stop burping/coughing as much. Would it be beneficial to take two puffs of albuterol during this or to tough it out? Again, I don't have any trouble breathing or tightness or any pain, I just don't wanna put strain on my heart when I wheeze.
