Misty and Lois-
What type of breathing symptoms were (are) you experiencing? I've been having breathing trouble for a year with ocassional left side sharp pains. My breathing goes through episodes where I struggle to take in a deep breath. I have to yawn to get a deep breath in. When I try to force it my chest gets sore...like I've been swimming all day. The episodes have become more frequent. I had a PFT with arterial blood gases done which didn't show any abnormalities. They said my breathing did improve with the Albuterol by 11% though...but they didn't think this was significant. I sympathize with the doctor thing. They haven't been able to find anything in the last year...so now I feel like they think I'm a hypochondriac! I have been to a second opinion, an internist, a hematologist (mild splenic enlargement), and soon...a pulmonologist. Don't give up. If you know there's something wrong...keep searching! I'm just going to keep requesting new physicians until someone listens to me. I realize it can get costly...but I know there's something wrong!
