I have these episodes that are hard to explain, although I have not had them in quite a while...until last night. My neurologist thought they might be TIA's and she has me on Aggrenox 2 x day as a preventative measure.
Last night's episode started when I was sitting in my recliner, using my laptop. All of a sudden, I felt like something "came into" my head, causing what I guess was vertigo and dizziness. It was kind of like a wave that comes through and I just have to sit there and let it go through my head. My eyes could not focus, due to wobbling around, for a minute or two.
After that I was pretty much OK, although I did say a couple of words wrong. My bp was lower than usual right after this episode (it had been running high, but was in the 130's/80's the rest of that evening) and my blood sugar was 121. I do have hypertension and diabetes, by the way (44 years old, overweight a bit, but recently lost about 20 pounds).
I have an appt with my cardiologist on Friday because my bp has been high, and I guess I will say something to him about this.
I just have a hard time thinking this could be a TIA since I didn't suffer lots of effects afterwards, though. Thoughts?
Blessings
