after my stroke i was prescribed aggrenox and coumadin amongst other things. aggrenox does cause headaches in the first whiole of taking this drug. there is 25 mg of asprin in each pill (there is actually a little tiny pill inside the capsule) and also a vasodilator. i think it is the vasodilator that gives the headaches. i had agioplasty and a stent put into my basilar artery and for the first month took coumadin, plavix and a full strength aspirin. that is the only time i took plavix
