I have the same problem I'm ** (200lbs) and every morning I take 2 capsules of adderall xr one is 30 mgs and the other is 10 mgs and yet it barely lasts till 4th hour so now my doctor is thinking about making me take adderall xr 2 or 3 times a day and I can barely sleep now so shes got me on 0.1 mgs of clonidine too. How much more can one person take.

I have the same problem with Adderall wearing off, and I also am in a busy profession. I also am prescribed 300 mgs of Wellbutrin, which helps. Now my doctor wants me to try switching to Vyanese, to see whether that helps. I think it will be worse. But I don't now the maximum safe dose of Adderall. Do you?

I am glad to hear that I am not the only one that has a problem with the Adderall XR wearing off. I currently take 30mg 3 times a day. I take 2 in the morning and 1 mid day. The only problem now is every once in a while I have a hard time going to sleep but it is a lot better than crashing middle of the day. I was told that 90mg was the max and then I had heard that it was 120mg, so I'm not really sure about the max dose either.

WEll, now I'm taking quite a mixed brew of meds: 30 mgs of Adderall XR, twice a day, and then 20 mgs of Ritalin, which isn't as long-lasting so I sleep a little better. But I still wind up staying up very late and don't get nearly as much sleep as I used to. Still, without the Adderall and Ritalin, I just can't function. I have Ambien for sleep but I stopped taking it for 2 weeks just to make sure I wasn't addicted. I guess I wasn't. So now I take it again. Pills to get you up, pills to bring you down... it's a little nuts, isn't it?
