I have cystoid macular edema which is swelling in the eye that developed after vitrectomy surgery. My retina specialist says the swelling is gradually coming down and he says when it does I should notice a significant difference in my vision. My question is if anyone has had macular edema how long before the swelling went down and your vision improved? I had my surgery almost 5 months ago and I am getting a little impatient. I am putting acular drops in my eye 3 times a day which I am told will help with the swelling.
