Hey Mike. I so much appreciate your help. I got a doc I like. he is elderly and very talkative, is just a D.O. He knows his stuff, but of course all have their strengths and weaknesses. The bandage lense has been off 11 day, longest in ages, and low and behold, on today`s visit there were filaments on the cornea. Has anyone on this thread also had filaments?? have any seen full relief long term by using a bandage contact? I mean we are connecting similarities but also differences. I mentioned the RCES (also called_______ membrane disease) to the doc and he said it was possible as we see abrasions as well as filaments, but filaments can cause abrasions! He doesn`t know, none of the docs do, and all we have done is try and implement measures to control it. I told him the name of the antibiotic you suggest, the tablet, and he said it will not help. He gave me Acular drops for pain and it does not appear to do much. Now I am on a liquid eye gel every two hours and muro drops 4 times a day as well as Zymar to counter infection risk as I have an abrasion from the filament removal. Who knows!
