Hello there,
I am obese and have been working on my eating; for exercise I do an aerobic breathing program and walking. After losing 50 pounds this year (so far as I am still slowly losing weight) my b/g numbers have reached very high! Before losing the weight my numbers might go up now and then but would head on back to a good territory. Before my weight loss I had total cholesteral of 148. Now after this weight loss; my H1Ac (is that the correct name?) is 8.6; up 2 points. My cholesteral is 218; up 70 points. I am on the maximum (so I'm told) dosage of glucovance. My doctor has now prescribed me Actos. Has anyone used Actos and what type of side effects are there? My blood test also showed I was having an allergic reaction to something within my body..... and that was let go.
I have researched like crazy and found that since fat cells carry toxins; and they are being released; that if the pancreas/liver are not working correctly they are now on overload which may be the reason for the elevated sugar numbers.
I would love some input on this.
thank you.
