Anybody else on Byetta? I take the 5 mcgs and am extreemly well controlled. My A1C was 5.7 last week. I was unable to move to the 10 mcgs because it made me violently ill and post meal blood sugars were in the 60s. I had to take anti nausia meds--it was awful. Turns out my diabetes in not bad enough (yet) for the 10 mcgs so I am sticking with the 5.

My husband is now on Byetta and has proceeded to the 10 mcgs with no side effetcs. He is also on Actos. He has been a diabetic a lot longer than me and it is a more severe case. He was diagnosed with an A1C of 10 where I was diagnosed with an A1C of 6.2.

Anyway, I have so far lost 20 pounds on the Byetta and look forward to losing more. It severly cuts ones appetite. I had to cut my portions by 1/2 to 3/4.

Anybody else out there using Byetta?:wave:
