Yes, muscles and bones can hurt after taking Fosmax or Actonel. I took Actonel once a week for 6 weeks and had horrible bone/muscle pain in various degrees and still have pain in my feet. It caused plantar fassiitis in both feet. Not sure how long it will be before feet return to normal. Also caused bone pain in sitting bone area on one side with same inflammation pain as feet had, but, fortunately the sitting bone area did not last too long and seems to be o.k. now.

Did not realize Actonel would or could cause so much pain that felt like bone pain and muscles with pain. It caused inflammation of ligaments too.
