I use a Mom and Pop Pharmacy where they order the generic Actiq and the Sandoz patches just for me! The pharmacist, who has been my pharmacist for 12 years now, tells me to call in a week before they are due so he'll make sure to have them both in. My Dilaudid 8 mg (generic by Roxane) is due at a different time during the month, and he has me call him a week prior to that.

Sharonn, I'm so sorry you've been made to feel so raunchy--in addition to your physical condition. I hope you can find a place that will be reasonable with you. Take care, my friend.

Sincerely,
Jon (Conductor)

That makes two of us! My independent guy order mine about a week ahead of when I'm due. I always call to make sure he hasn't forgotten, and to "knock on wood", he hasn't yet. I'm the only one he sells the sticks to.

Small world.....

Dear Ex (Executor),

It is good to know that another person takes these same medications and is in the same type of circumstances. I know that my relationship with my pharmacist (and the good relationship I have with my doctor's office) was delivered to me by the Lord Himself--there is no other way to account for this good fortune!

I have gotten the 75 mcg fentanyl patches (Sandoz since available) since late 1996 and the 800 mcg Actiq (Barr generic since available) since 1998 from the same pharmacist, so he knows that I'm not going to stiff him! While he says he likes me to call to make sure these particular orders are in, he usually has the "replacements" already in the store within a week or so. They sit on the shelf in such a place that I can see them! And, since I'm the only patient his store has who uses these, I'm thrilled with the excellent service.

Thanks, Ex. It's always good to have an ally concerning these meds.

Sincerely,
Jon (Conductor)
