walking and acid reflux (Acid Reflux board)

Yes the pressure could be lungs but it feels almost like when you are running in the cold cold weather and get that aching there. Then up to my ears. My throat is not prickly or tickling, just the aching goes through that area and up to my ears. I've been on Aciphex tabs and Gaviscon(the liquid) since July 2007. Had ekg, stress test, CT chest and endoscopy. My MD is convinced it's acid reflux so I watch spicey stuff and don't drink any coffee for past 10 mos. I had been drinking a double latter sometimes twice a day and she thinks this really contributed so I am so careful now. Just the fact that walking up stairs then to my building brings it on confuses me.

Arm sockets, no, but the rest sounds like me. I have a minor long standing mitral valve prolapse but no other known heart problems. I've had ekg, stress echo, ct scan and endoscopy. I've been on Aciphex tabls since July and Gaviscon liquid. I watch spicey foods and don't drink coffee. I had been up to 2 lattes with dbl shots a day and MD is sure this was a big factor.

I am 97% improved being on Aciphex and Gaviscon since last July. I know what to and not to do physically to keep me as symptom free as possible. But, I can't seem to get a straight answer about why this stair climbing then walking trigger the symptoms. In July last yr I could never know when it would start then I'd be miserable for about 20 " where I had to just sit or stand with heating pad tightly pressed to my chest. I don't know if this helped that pain or it was better "in my head" but this would happen several times a day. If I awoke at night & sat up suddenly or got out of bed too quickly the same pains would start. Frustrating.
