My dad has the same thing. What really helped him was a med that is not used very often - it's called metanx. It's a B12/B6/folate tablet, and it's done wonders for him. You might want to look into that instead of upping your dosage of the generic vicodin. Vicodin can be very addicting, and even if your doctor prescribes 2 every 6 hours, any more than that could be real bad for you. Most doctors don't mention it, but the limit on vicodin should be 8 a day because of the amounts of acetaminophen in it - it can cause liver problems.
