Salt-water gargles, hard candy or throat lozenges, and non-aspirin analgesics such as acetaminophen help relieve the pain and discomfort of your sore throat. Rest and drink plenty of fluids like tea, soup, and juice. A vaporizer or humidifier in your bedroom can help make you more comfortable as well. Yes, I've had this before - it's no fun!
