3rd March 2008 Accutane was a miracle for me! The side effects I got were just some chapped lips and nosebleeds. The benefits far outweigh any possible side effects. I say go for it, if your doctor says it's okay. 2nd April 2008 I have been on Spiro for 2.5 weeks now and have had the opposite effect-- my skin has broken out horribly. I am hoping this is just an initial breakout though. *I HOPE*. I have already tried accutane 3x. The Spiro has definitely curbed oil production...but my forehead has broken out in lots of red/white bumps. Some are popping up on my cheeks as well. Before starting spiro was acne was under control (though I still had pimples), but since starting spiro i feel like my skin is going crazy! has anyone experienced an initial breakout like this???does it get better, or is spiro just not for me???too soon to tell? 7th April 2008 Honestly, I struggled with really bad acne forever, and it's very depressing. What finally worked for me, and I can't beleive I'm actually one of those people with good skin is this:
I get a facial once a month, by a good estatician. No cheap nail salon crap. I pay about $100 a month for a good facial, and I'm telling you it works. You don't have to do it forever, but for the first 5 months it really helps clean your skin out. #2 Arcona face products. All natural, organic, and yes they really work. My friend works on celebrities faces' and she uses Arcona with them. #3 Diane 35 birth control. But honestly, my face improved without it. I've really been there. Did accutane twice, proactive, retine A. dry ice on the face. I really did it all and I never thought I would have good skin. But once i got facial and switched to good products I saw a difference. It takes about 5 months, but it works. My pores are even shrinking and my scars are vanishing, and people even say to me that I have nice skin! 3rd May 2008 [QUOTE=3yearsulnar;3521204]Honestly, I struggled with really bad acne forever, and it's very depressing.
